  • Welcome to Aspira Haugan Middle School!

Middle school is a very exciting time in the lives of our students. Our teachers, staff and families take pride in working together towards helping our students achieve academic and social growth. We encourage them to make the most of their time here at AHMS. We offer a variety of opportunities to our students to help them be successful in and out of the classroom. Aside from the rigorous level of education they receive, we also offer an opportunity to join a variety of sports teams, clubs, and/or receive after-school tutoring.

Guiding our students towards becoming leaders in their classrooms as well as positive contributors in their communities is a major goal of our school. As you browse through our webpage, you will see a variety of resources available for you as a parent, student and/or prospective AHMS family. Here, you can check your child’s grades, find out about the activities our school will be hosting and communicate with your child’s teachers.

Thank you for visiting our site.

On Thursday, March 9th our School Counselor, Maria Morales took a group of 30 ASPIRA Haugan 8th Grade students to visit DePaul University . Students sat through a presentation titled "Begin Your Journey" this presentation, was full of very encouraging and inspiring reasons why the students should aspire Higher Education. Our students were very engaged, and even took notes! Students had the opportunity to also ask the presenter and three current DePaul students questions, some of their questions ranged from,"what helped them get there?", Why did you chose DePaul?, and even asking how their high school experience helped them prepare. Afterwards, student had the opportunity to tour the campus and its facilities.

Overall the students left excited, and inspired by the experience. Ms. Cannella 8th Grade Language Arts, and Ms. Kathy Torres Para-Professional, also accompanied the group.
